What the Eighth Edition Changed
PMBOK 8 arrived in November 2025 and the PMP exam has tested against it since July 9, 2026. It reorganized the framework: 12 principles became 6, 8 performance domains became 7, and the 49 processes became 40 — with some renamed, some merged, and three with no successor at all.
